Below are a few common
questions that may help you resolve your problem. If none of the questions
matches yours, please send us an email by clicking the 'Contact Us' link at the
bottom.
Problem: The county or municipality of the
property is not listed in the dropdown boxes.
Reason: There is no data available from the municipality or
county.
Solution: Click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this
page and let us know which county and municipality you are looking for. We will
contact the municipality to see if they can provide us with data.
Problem: The county and municipality is
listed, but my property address cannot be found.
Reason: The property may be in a different municipality.
Sometimes the municipality boundaries are not what you think they are. If the
property address is new (issued after January 1st of this year), information
will not be available until assessed values are finalized.
Solution: Try searching without entering the municipality. If
you still cannot find it, click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this
page and give us the county, municipality, and property address.
Problem: The county is listed, the
municipality is listed, but the tax key number cannot be found.
Reason: The tax key number may be formatted differently.
Different municipalities format their tax key numbers in different ways. If the
tax key number is new (issued after January 1st of this year), our information
may not be up-to-date.
Solution: Select the county and municipality, then look at the
sample tax key number provided. Enter the tax key number in the exact same
format. As an alternative, try searching by property address if you have it. If
you still cannot find it, click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this
page and give us the county, municipality, tax key number and property address
if you have it.
Problem: The property was found but some
of the data is incorrect.
Solution: The information provided on this website came from
the tax assessor of the municipality. Square footage calculations are based on
outside measurements which will make them slightly higher than if inside
measurements were used. If the information appears to be from the correct
property but a piece of data is incorrect, please contact the tax assessment
office for the municipality. You can click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom
of this page and send us an email. We will forward the information to the local
assessor. It will take longer for us to notify the assessor than if you contact
them directly.
